Statly Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Statly is an iOS app that lets you display metrics from your own API on your home screen via widgets. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This app does not require an account and does not send your personal data to our servers.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

  • We do not collect your name, email, or any account information.
  • We do not collect analytics, usage data, or device identifiers for tracking.
  • We do not have access to your payment information. All subscriptions are processed by Apple; we only receive an indication of whether you have an active subscription.

3. Information Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device (in the app's local storage and App Group storage shared with the widget extension). We do not have access to this data; it never leaves your device unless you choose to back up your device (e.g. via iCloud Backup).

Widget configurationsNames, endpoint URLs, API keys, refresh intervals, selected stats, and styling (colors, padding, logo settings) for each widget you create.
Logo imagesIf you add a custom logo (by URL or from your photo library), the image is stored locally so the widget can display it.
Cached statsThe app and widget may cache the latest stats from your endpoint so the widget can show data when offline.

This data is stored in Apple's standard storage (UserDefaults in an App Group). It is used only to run the app and widgets you configure.

4. Data You Provide to Third Parties

  • Your API / endpoint: When you add a widget, the app sends requests (e.g. GET with your API key) to the URL and API key you provide. That request goes from your device to your server. We do not see, store, or process the data returned from your endpoint.
  • Apple: Subscription purchases and restores are handled by Apple. Apple's privacy policy applies to payment and subscription data: Apple Privacy Policy.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

  • Statly Pro is a subscription offered through the Apple App Store.
  • Payment and subscription management are handled entirely by Apple. We do not collect or store payment details.
  • We only receive from Apple an indication of whether your subscription is active, so we can unlock Pro features in the app.

6. How to Manage or Cancel Your Subscription

You can manage or cancel your Statly Pro subscription at any time:

  • On your iPhone or iPad: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Statly
  • Or use the "Open Subscription Settings" link in the app (Subscription tab → when you have Pro).

Cancellation is handled by Apple; we do not process cancellations ourselves.

7. Children's Privacy

Statly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will work to delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
